Rob, I have a shop manual and if I knew which fitting is leaking, I could give you the torque values, but for the Adapter (NPT), a 3/8" is 28 to 32 ft/lbs. and a 1/2" is 36 to 43 ft/lbs. Hose fitting and flare nut, 9/16" is 16 to 19, 3/4" is 26 to 30, 7/8" is 48 to 52, and 1/4" is 22 to 26.

Make sure there are baffles in the covers under the breather and PCV to keep the oil from splashing up into the two. If it's the top cover that's leaking check if it has a vent on top. If the vent gets clogged shut with grease the air (and oil) try to find a different way out of the case.

If the starter bolts get loose it usually shucks the gasket. If its not leaking much keep a eye on oil level and run till you get a new gasket.
